Summary:

In this role, you will work closely with our national account procurement centers in the entire purchasing process of supplies and P2P item master maintenance; ensuring contract compliancy and assisting in product research to warrant the greatest cost savings. You will be cognitive of best practices as they align with that of material management and providing direction and support to the center’s daily functions while focusing on efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate agency orders per the Material Management system as needed; confirm orders for availability and pricing; relay backorders and product substitution to the center as needed.
  • Process and complete item add request within designated P2P platform adhering to product attribute and formulary standards using Vizient/Provista analytical tools.
  • Research and resolve pricing disputes; submit contract disputes as needed.
  • Assist customers with product research such as: capital equipment, samples, backorders, and shipping/vendor issues as needed. 
  • Ensure excellent customer service through active communication and feedback.
  • Monitor ordering process and recommend product cross overs to enhance contract compliance/product savings. 
  • Review cross over reports with internal stakeholders and suggest best practices to better align for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Review contract product validation per new item request. 
  • Manage ENVI reporting of purchase history and platform data as needed to complete product research/tasks/administrative reports.
  • Coordinate Envi platform best practices with the client to support healthy platform maintenance and data quality.
  • Provide ongoing updates on product offerings and educational training on ENVI processes and procedures as needed.
  • Manage Envi platform in accordance with any distributor/vendor changes as needed to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to material management for the centers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Experience with supply chain and materials management preferred
  • Knowledge of medical products preferred.
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs such as Outlook and Excel.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize to ensure all tasks are handled efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to act independently to research and resolve product/customer issues.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $45,100.00 to $72,100.00.
