How you’ll make an impact:

Finance Fundamentals:

  • Responsible for process excellence and delivery of tax accounting, internal controls, and compliance processes for a Market or Market Unit;

  • Ensure timely delivery, accurate reporting, and consolidation of financial results for Market or MU;

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and tracking of income tax true ups; resolve complex cases, collaborating globally with Employment Tax and Mobility tax teams;

  • Receivables management for Tax Equalization Settlements; ageing analysis and collection risk analysis to mitigate unplanned expense charges to client contracts;

  • Ensure all tax accounting issues are properly analyzed, supported, and documented in the quarterly BSR, pre and post close reviews;

  • Conduct balance sheet reviews and coordinate execution of action identified through ongoing balance sheet analysis to ensure accuracy of financial statements;

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of existing processes and tools, participate in special projects and global initiatives;

  • Coordinate activities for Finance Subledger tool maintenance; timely execution, problem solving and translating business requirements to CIO;

  • Maintain process documentation and ensure consistent, predictable, and standardized delivery of financial services;

  • Ongoing conversations with CBF Market Leads to discuss health of balance sheet and identify process gaps impacting financials;

  • Work collaboratively to resolve upstream process gaps in areas including but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, cash application, Mobility, Employment Tax, tax operations and controllership general accounting teams.

Analytics, Insights and Advisory:

  • Prepare and analyze consolidated Market/MU results; conduct detailed analysis to minimize financial exposure and collaborate to maximize contract profitability for taxes charged to client engagements;

  • Reconcile key findings from complex sets of information to identify trends, potential issues, and improvement opportunities;

  • Support local tax controversy matters; preparation of ad hoc reporting and analysis to aid decisions, providing insights of financial impacts;

  • Collaborate with tax teams to investigate complex tax matters impacting financials, understand reason for variances and timely escalate material issues;

  • Develop a clear understanding of internal systems, international tax transactions and processes to aid balance sheet analysis and provide value added advice to Client Finance;

  • Respond to business queries from local/global Finance, Project Managers, Mobility, and Global Tax Group;

  • Work collaboratively with CBF Market Lead and Employment Tax to deploy accounting requirements for emerging economies, and changes in local country tax legislation;

  • Support external and internal audits; providing financial records and supporting documentation, procedural walkthroughs, and responding to various audit enquiries;

  • Coordinate entity liquidation activities, collaborate with tax teams to drive tax closure and accelerate balance sheet clean up.

Skills that make your work successful:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting, Tax management and Financial Reporting;

  • Knowledge of Accounting standards and legislation (US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley);

  • The ability to interpret and understand financial and business information and make the associated recommendations for action;

  • First class numerical and technical analysis skills;

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting or related major;

  • Basic knowledge of expat tax legislation an advantage;

  • Good English writing and oral communication skills;

  • Positive attitude and flexible;

  • Sense of responsibility, initiative, and high-quality work standard;

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize;

  • Team worker with ability to coach and motivate team.
