As the Data and Advanced Analytics (DAAA) Data Product Lead, the individual will lead the ideation, continuous improvement and optimization of McKesson Med Surg data products and associated analytics for DAAA stakeholders. This is a dynamic role requiring leadership, program management, technical skills, governance, and domain knowledge to support the build of analytics, automation, and AI for the eventual commercialization of data. This role will lead roadmap development, stakeholder management, valuation of products, and product life cycle management for DAAA stakeholders in Med-Surg.
Responsibilities:
- Own the data product plan and roadmap aligned with overall data, analytics and automation (DAAA) goals and with stakeholder business objectives.
- Own data products along the entire product lifecycle, including Ideation, Valuation, Planning, Development, Launch, Adoption, and Sunsetting.
- Work independently or as part of a team to understand business processes and opportunity for data products.
- Ideate on data products independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Own the KPIs that measure the impact of DAAA data products to stakeholder people and processes.
- Analyze data product usage and KPIs to improve data product performance.
- Own the valuation model of DAAA data products for estimated and actual value to MMS.
- Work with program management on Value-Effort prioritization of opportunities to ensure proper prioritization.
- Ensure that data products contribute value to DAAA business goals.
- Own the stakeholder relationship and manage expectations through regular communications.
- Oversee proper development and delivery of data product POCs, pilots, and MVPs with DAAA technical teams including developers, data architects, and data scientists.
- Collaborate with business partners and McKesson Technology (MT) to ensure data and analytics initiatives align with overall business objectives.
- Partner with data governance to reduce the risk profile of data products by defining data governance policies and ensuring compliance for data products.
- Partner with data architecture and data democratization to ensure scalability and user training.
- Work with business stakeholders on training and ongoing product adoption and usage.
- Monitor data product usage and implement product sunsetting plan as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.
- Serve as primary SME on technology to lead data product ideation.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration, operations research, or STEM.
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in technical product management.
- Solid understanding of data architecture and data systems and technology. Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes data analytics and data modeling, and decision sciences.
- Solid experience in analytics and decision science. Willingness to expand skills. Knowledge of AI algorithms, machine learning, LLMs, and data science and understanding of how AI systems work and how to assess their risks.
- Experience in working with PLC, Software Development Life cycle process (in the context of analytics and AI), MLOps and Agile.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences is essential. They should be able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Experience in understanding the business context in which data is being used, including goals, objectives, and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, hands on, and as part of a team.
- Prior work experience in manufacturing and distribution helpful, especially in health care supply.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$113,800 - $189,600
