About the Role

Assist the senior manager for the management reporting team in handling various operations and reporting tasks besides projects

Roles and Responsibilities

For the management reporting function:

• Assist / lead, manage and oversee the management reporting team matters comprising of:

  • Structure of each business via cost centres

  • Forecasting and budgeting process and reporting

  • Inter-company billings and collections

  • Monthly closing activities

  • Group reporting matters

  • Controls and risk management matters

• Assist / lead and manage the finance projects and other ad-hoc activities

• Assist / lead escalation from key various stakeholders, both internal like business teams, group functions and external parties

• Drive continuous team service improvement initiatives in improving service quality and efficiency, fostering an environment of innovation and process optimization

• Assist / lead and manage external parties - auditors, tax agents and etc.

• Assist / lead, manage, coach and develop team members on both technical and soft skills in delivering BAU services to business

• Govern and oversee the compliance process with regards to accounting regulations, IFRS, Companies Act, tax laws, Group policies and procedures and ensure the compliance

Job Requirements

• Education Possess a relevant bachelor’s degree with an accredited university or a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA or CPA or etc.)

• Relevant Experience At least 8 years working experience in accounting and finance function especially in financial or management reporting. External audit experience is an added advantage.

• Language/Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, practices, standards, law and regulations. Exposure to tax is an added advantage.

• Good management and interpersonal skills

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, SAP system and subsystems

• Personality: Must be able to multitask, willing to learn, possess positive attitude and well-organised
