The Yahoo Global Events and Experiential Marketing team drives strategy, creates and executes experiences across the B2B, B2C, and internal business units. This award-winning team is heavily involved from beginning to end, responsible for influencing revenue, meeting KPI’s, and driving real business results. 


About the role:

The Event Operations Coordinator supports the Global Events & Experiential Marketing team on the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of Yahoo’s B2B, B2C, and internal events. This is a highly-visible role which requires professionalism, sound judgment, agility, grit and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

Support the Global Events & Experiential Marketing team by providing comprehensive administrative and operational support, including but not limited to:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously by tracking deliverables, timelines, and key milestones to ensure successful execution

  • Coordinate event registration by creating and managing registration forms, monitoring attendee lists, and maintaining event data across platforms, heavily weighted in Google Docs, JiffleNow, and SplashThat 

  • Develop and maintain presentation materials and meeting decks using Google Slides.

  • Collect, organize, and maintain project data, event metrics, and reporting using Google Sheets 

  • Coordinate travel logistics, including hotel room blocks, transportation manifests, and other attendee travel-related tasks  

  • Leverage spreadsheet automation and AI tools within Google Sheets to organize, synthesize, and report on event metrics, attendee attendance, and project budgets

  • Identify opportunities to replace manual administrative tasks with AI-assisted workflows and automated processes to improve turn-around times and project delivery

  • Prepare, pack, ship, and organize event materials and supplies, including lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor contract and payment processes, coordinating contract execution, purchase orders, invoice submission, payment tracking, and cross-functional communication to ensure timely processing and project continuity 

  • Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of global events and experiential marketing activities 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a corporate or agency environment 

  • Experience in an administrative, operations, project coordination, events, or related support role

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong project coordination and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and follow through on deliverables

  • Comfortable managing administrative processes, including purchase orders, invoices, contract routing, and payment tracking 

  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

  • Highly proficient in the entire Google Suite

  • Interest in exploring emerging AI tools to continuously improve daily event operations and data reporting efficiency.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment and workplace while contributing to a well-respected, high-functioning group of go-getters

The compensation for this position ranges from $43,500.00 - $90,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
