The Digital Consumer Experience group at Sanofi is seeking a proactive and insightful Senior UX Researcher to join their team. This role is instrumental in shaping the user experience by understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in informing design and product strategies to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.

As a Senior UX Researcher, your primary role will be to conduct research using a range of methods to understand our customers and surface insights that ensure our digital solutions are user-centered, innovative, and valued  by their users. You will be expected to lead research projects at every stage of the development lifecycle. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be expected to execute research on you own and through external research vendors.

In addition, the Senior UX Researcher will be expected to stretch beyond research and contribute to product strategy efforts. This includes scoping opportunities, benchmarking experiences, framing problems and opportunities, planning and facilitating workshops, and working to activate the strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
 

1. Research & Execution

• Design and execute mixed-method research studies (surveys, interviews, usability testing, field observations, diary studies, etc.) that adherence to best practices

• Conduct foundational research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations

Lead the recruiting of diverse, representative participant samples

• Select and manage research vendors to ensure study outputs meet team and stakeholder expectations

2. Analysis & Synthesis

• Analyze research data to identify patterns and actionable insights; synthesize findings into clear, decision-ready reports and presentations

• Create customer journey maps, personas, use scenarios, and other synthetic frameworks that enable team members to understand customer needs, behaviors, and wants

3. Experience Strategy

• Scope experience opportunities, conduct benchmarking, and frame CX/UX problems to inform digital experience strategies

• Support strategy activation by defining MVP experiences and prioritizing initiatives for implementation

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery

• Present findings and strategic recommendations in a compelling, storytelling manner to internal audiences, including senior leadership

• Be a passionate advocate for the customer

• Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, and empathy exercises to build group consensus and enable evidence-based decision making

• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product owners, and other internal stakeholders to integrate research findings into product and experience decisions

About you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: Seasoned at conducting research directly informing digital development work and iteration cycles. 5+ years of working as a CX/UX researcher, preferably in a consulting or corporate environment.

  • Research Skills: Proficiency in various CX/UX research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Experience using AI to accelerate analysis and insight generation.

  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or similar). Advanced degree preferred but not required.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Adobe, FigJam, and other research and design tools. Fluent in developing visually compelling artifacts (journey maps, personas, etc.).

  • Visual Communication: Create compelling research artifacts such as journey maps, personas, and user stories using tools like Adobe, FigJam, or similar. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using various research and design tools to plan, analyze, and present findings effectively: Dovetail, Maze, Miro, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights. 

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders. 

  • Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems based on research insights.

The salary range for this position is:

$90.000,00 - $130.000,00
