As a Medication Safety Pharmacist within Cleveland Clinic’s Inpatient Pharmacy at Main Campus, you will play a pivotal role in supporting 60 nursing units, 80 operating rooms, 4 PACUs and 10 cath labs. In this strategic position, you will review safety event reports (SERS) and develop both proactive and reactive initiatives to enhance medication safety for the adult patient population. Collaborating on safety, quality and patient experience committees, you will have the opportunity to influence care on a broad scale while ensuring medications are selected, dosed, administered, and dispensed accurately, timely and respectfully. This role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking to transition from a staffing position into a more strategic and leadership-focused career path—offering professional growth, skill-building and the chance to make a lasting impact on patient outcomes.
A caregiver in this position works first shift, Monday through Friday, with weekend staffing every 6th weekend. There are no holiday or on-call requirements, and the only floating expectation is occasional travel to a designated submarket as needed.
