Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Management ensures the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.
Risk Management has policy teams that specialise in credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks as well as business unit facing teams. These areas collaborate with each other and specific areas within the Group to implement the Risk Management frameworks.

The Risk Management – Tech & Ops Risk team provides specialised risk management advice, assurance and approvals for Technology and the Chief Operations Office. The Change Risk team conducts reviews of the management of major change initiatives and provides advice to Group Pace on improvements to the Group’s delivery frameworks and governance.
Your Impact:
You will report to the Executive Manager Change Risk, Risk Management – Tech & Ops Risk. The role does not have any direct reports but will assist in the coaching and development of other team members.
The Executive Manager, Change Risk role will oversee Line 2 advice and assurance activities relating to change initiatives, working with a team of Senior Managers. This role will initially focus on supporting the Enterprise Transformation Program (ETP) in Technology.
This will involve working closely with the other Tech & Ops Risk teams aligned to the business areas and other BU Line 2 teams. You will work with colleagues in the Change Risk Leadership Team to determine the priority initiatives for the team. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Group’s delivery frameworks supporting tools, processes and capability with the objectives of ensuring that the Group is identifying and managing change risk within risk appetite and supporting other BUs in managing their change risk.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide specialised advice to the EPMO, TPMO and project teams on managing project delivery risk.
Deliver Line 2 assurance activities over change initiatives within Technology and the COO.
Monitor and report on the progress of assurance issues raised and associated remedial action plans.
Deliver Line 2 advice and assurance over the controls within the risk profile for the Technology Strategy, Performance and Program Delivery team (including the EPMO/TPMO)
Proactively contribute to the Line 2 community of practice for Risk-in-Change and Investment Allocation and Delivery Risk Assurance.
Your skills and experience:
Extensive experience in a project assurance role over large and complex programs/ projects, preferably in financial services.
Demonstrated experience in review of change programs and projects with a strong understanding of both delivery and delivered risk principles and effective mechanisms to manage these risks.
Experience of working in or reviewing scaled-agile delivery environments would be desirable.
Excellent soft skills, including communication, team working, time management, creative thinking, flexibility, proactive problem-solving.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline. Relevant professional qualifications (eg PMBOK, PRINCE2) would be desirable.
