Monday-Friday, AM Shift

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Mental Health Field plus four years’ experience in a mental health field, or
  • Master's degree in a Mental Health Field plus two years’ experience in a mental health field
  • Above experience should be with children or adolescents (preferred) in residential or outpatient settings.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

NOTE: Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

This position has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to adolescents and their families. The Mental Health Specialist provides mental health services (including assessment and evaluation) and other services to clients referred to the Community Services Program. He/she acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff.

Division/Program Overview:

  • School based outpatient program 
  • Provide services at designated school sites and in the community year round 
  • Services offered: Individual, family and group therapy, parent support groups, case management, collaboration with school staff 
  • Serve youth ages 5-18 
  • Services offered are trauma informed and culturally responsive

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 22.36 - 33.54. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
