POSITION PURPOSE:    

Provides basic eyeglass care to patients under the direct supervision of an Optometrist or an Ophthalmologist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures optimal patient care by adhering to Medical Center/Clinic policies and procedures.
• Performs a variety of patient care activities to assists patients with the choice of vision care products with maximum patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrates competencies in optical skills based on current trends and advances.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ABO Certification required within first year of employment.
• Graduate from an accredited school for opticians or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation Range

$18.80 - $28.20
