Abbott’s Financial Professional Development Program (FPDP) is designed for ambitious, early‑career talent who want to build global experience, strengthen their financial expertise, and grow into future leaders.
This two‑year rotational program offers you the opportunity to develop essential skills, gain exposure to real business challenges, and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives—while shaping your path in a global organization.
About the Program
Over 24 months, you will complete four six‑month rotations across different areas of Abbott’s Finance organization. These assignments expose you to both strategic and operational aspects of financial management in various environments, such as:
- Corporate and divisional headquarters
- Manufacturing facilities
- Commercial organizations
- Other operational settings across the globe
Rotations may take place in the following regions (subject to business needs):
🇫🇷 France (your home base)
🇺🇸 United States
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
🇮🇪 Ireland
🇳🇱 Netherlands
🇨🇭 Switzerland
🇩🇪 Germany
🇸🇬 Singapore
🇧🇷 Brazil
🇨🇷 Costa Rica
As part of the program, you will also complete at least one rotation outside your home region.
Throughout the FPDP, you will be paired with a senior Finance leader who will mentor, guide, and support your development.
At the end of the program, the FPDP Management Office will help you transition into a full‑time Finance role within Abbott in your home region.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking early-career professionals who want to grow into global Finance leaders and bring curiosity, analytical strengths, and problem‑solving skills into a meaningful, mission‑driven environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Full work authorization in your home country (within Europe)
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Willingness and ability to be geographically mobile, including at least one assignment outside your home region
- Strong interest in pursuing a Qualified Accountant certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong academic results
- Leadership experience (student organizations, volunteer roles, projects, teams)
- At least one internship in Finance or Accounting
