Job Description

Job Summary

The Supplier and Accounting Data Steward sits within the Global Data Process & Technology Team, and works closely with IT, Finance, Indirect/ Direct Procurement Groups. This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and participating in the implementation of supplier information management programs and strategies to assure the overall performance, as well as the data maintenance for accounting related domain functions. The goal is to make the processes as simple as possible for our internal customers and vendors. This includes keeping the accounting and vendor master data up to date, working in SAP ECC, SRM, Ariba and the Ariba Network, as well as dealing with ad-hoc service requests as part of our transformation journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders with different backgrounds.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Maintain vendor onboarding processes including vendor master record, internal vendor assignment and qualification 

  • Create Data Quality reports to assess overall completeness & accuracy of vendor and accounting master data 

  • Define and enforce Data Governance framework (including the management of data, data policies and standards etc.) 

  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring data compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards

  • Create and provide training for onboarding processes and tools, to internal customers and vendors 

  • Maintain accounting master data processes (including Cost Center, Profit Center, General Ledger, and Internal Order data management)

  • Maintain FP-1 level approval data in coordination with Finance

  • Drive continuous improvements leveraging technology and lean tools 

  • Work across domain functions to reduce complexity aligning processes and outcomes

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert of Supplier and Accounting Master Data for cross-functional and corporate initiatives

Critical Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Data, Finance, IT domain or similar 

  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP Ariba 

  • Knowledge of the Agile framework 

  • Good Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL skills

  • English Fluency, excellent verbal and written communication 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and set priorities 

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills 

  • Customer service mindset with excellent customer service skills

  • Desire and ability to learn new technology and processes

  • Attention to detail 

  • Organizational and cultural awareness
