You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

The intern will be expected to start working part-time in Fall 2024.

Position Purpose: Participate all aspects of clinical pharmacy programs to gain educational, operational, and research services. Participate in various projects while developing skills related to the managed care market.

  • Learn all aspects for the pharmacy’s line of business through hands on experience
  • Learn the prior authorization review criteria and process
  • Learn various clinical services that pharmacy benefit management provide to clients
  • Learn the concept of formulary and network design and its application
  • Convey knowledge of health plan and commercial pharmacy benefit operations
  • Convey knowledge of clinical savings capabilities and opportunities in applied markets
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Current enrollment in an accredited Pharm. D program with and ability to participate in an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation. Student applicants must be in good academic standing in their respective institutions.

AcariaHealth: State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire.

Pay Range: $18-23 per hour
