Instant Ink Product Owner

Description -

We are looking for a Product Owner (PO) to join an agile team responsible to deliver amazing customer experiences to millions of users worldwide of a fast-growing service.  The PO will coordinate and collaborate with the stakeholders on the roadmap and lead the team through the execution of initiatives to deliver against the program strategy.  This position will work with Technical Project Managers and other development teams to understand specific business requirements to deliver innovative product features and solutions for target-customers.  As a PO you will be collaborating with engineering, design, content and quality assurance teams to scope, build, launch and maintain assigned features/ functional areas

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for guiding the development of an agile team into an effective delivery unit with a sustainable cadence.
  • Creates and maintains metrics for the value stream, teams and stakeholders, using data points and trends to communicate progress, quality, bottlenecks, team health.
  • Manage the backlog for sprint and release planning post-development start through QA. This position will also raise risks / impediments to project managers
  • Collaborate with technical project managers and architects to transition the business requirements to technical requirements.
  • Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
  • Communicates progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes
  • Clear defined Acceptance Criteria per feature
  • Lead backlog grooming sessions and drive solutions to completion working with Agile Teams
  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Experience as a software developer
  • Experience as an Agile development Product Owner.
  • Experienced at Scrum team sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint review.
  • Typically 6-10 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience using agile planning tools such as Jira, Miro etc.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
  • Collect business requirements from cross functional team members (e.g. Product Marketing, Design, Support)
  • Needs to have technical background
