New Day Veterinary Nurse position at our Village Vet Hampstead Veterinary Hospital!

                      

We are actively seeking a Tier 2 or Tier 3 Registered Veterinary Nurse as reflected in the Linnaeus Nurse Career Framework to join the DAY team and support our emergency and critical care patients. You would be an integral part of the ECC team and support the Lead Nurse & clinicians in delivering care to our critical patients. This will include rotations through surgery, consultations and Nurse led schedule 3 procedures.

The Hampstead hospital is part of Village Vet (part of Linnaeus) and is well-established small hospital, in Belsize Park North London. The hospital sees a varied caseload, including internal and external referrals requiring critical or urgent care and we are proud to serve as a 24-hour emergency clinic for many North London Practices.

We are proud to be an accredited dog friendly clinic via Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association and have also gained ISFM gold Cat Friendly Status too which feeds into our patient centred approach to care.

Our clinicians are well supported by a cohesive team of nurses, students and patients care assistant’s (including a dedicated night team) all of which are actively supported in their career development as part of the Linnaeus nursing framework.

Your role and responsibilities

Rota: 4 day working week. 42 hours a week. 1:4 weekends.

You would be an integral part of the Nursing team. Our nurse team is key to the group’s ability to provide gold clinical standards. You will support the Lead Nurse & clinicians in delivering care to our critical patients, ensuring training and support is provided to the wider team and ensuring resources and equipment are managed as effectively as possible. Working enthusiastically with your team you will help maintain a happy, efficient working environment while also aligning with current legislation and practice policy.

Hampstead hospital is based in North London, a short walk from Belsize Park Tube and local amenities. The hospital is well equipped over 4 floors where we have everything you would expect, including full diagnostic facilities, an on-site laboratory, a dedicated Intensive care unit (ICU), separate cat/dog wards, and a full theatre suite. Our 24hr facilities ensure continuity of care for our patients and provide a highly stimulating and rewarding caseload.

Salary Value:£37,000 per annum;
