About the role

Eli is looking for a Biomedical Engineer Intern for a duration of 4 to 8 months from September 2024. You will be a key member of our R&D and Manufacturing teams, helping to discover new ways to improve current and future iterations of our product & assay technology. Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Streamline manufacturing processes.

  • Research and design tools to assist assembly.

  • Develop quality assurance systems for manufactured parts.

  • Develop incoming inspection protocols.

  • Develop manufacturing work instructions.

  • Assist in the assembly of parts.

  • Support the scientific team by developing experimental setups and fixtures.

  • Conceptualize, design, rapidly prototype, and build different components of the hardware product.

  • Collaborate with the scientific and software teams to ensure the integration of all systems.

  • Contribute to building a novel technology that can shape the next generation of women’s healthcare.

About you

  • You have or are pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Science or related field.  

  • You have previous experience in the medical device industry or related experience from regulated industry.

  • You are a rigorous, diligent and thorough testing design and documentation.

  • You have basic IT and software skills necessary for supporting documentation in an electronic QMS system.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • You are able to work both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.
