Job Description Summary:

  • You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Sam's members, in the areas of Membership.
  • You are expected to be intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.
  • You are expected to be a team player that can support the team in their deliverables and provide oversight, do peer code reviews wherever required.
  • You will be responsible for managing your application, meeting all Engineering and Operational Excellence criterions as defined by your team leadership.

What you'll bring:

  • Excellent knowledge in Java 8 or above and Databases.
  • A strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving
  • Good debugging and problem-solving capability
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, CI/CD, testing, and operations.
  • Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC
  • Good understanding of distributed concepts, common design principles, design patterns and cloud concepts.
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies and microservices.
  • Knowledge on  large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.
  • Influential communication skills; ability to effectively articulate technical challenges solutions.
  • Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills.

  • Bachelor's / Masdegree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area
