SUMMARY:

The Associate Account Manager takes on responsibilities in transaction processing and client support. This role is designed for individuals who have obtained their P&C license and demonstrated competency in administrative functions, typically with 1-2 years of insurance or related experience.

Associate Account Managers work on policy processing, routine client inquiries, and carrier interactions while continuing to build technical expertise. This role works closely with Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, and Account Executives to develop client service skills and deepen coverage knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transaction Processing

  • Manage small book of insurance business including: process policy endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements under supervision
  • Prepare certificates of insurance and evidence of coverage documents
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in agency management system (EPIC)
  • Process auto ID cards, declarations pages, and policy documents
  • Submit routine transactions to carriers via online portals
  • Review and verify policy documents for accuracy

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized electronic and physical client files
  • Gather documentation and applications for renewals and new business
  • Prepare meeting materials and client presentation documents
  • Respond to routine carrier and client requests under guidance
  • Track pending items and follow up on outstanding requirements
  • Support team members with administrative tasks as needed

Learning and Development

  • Participate in carrier training and product education
  • Shadow experienced team members to learn client interaction skills
  • Deepen knowledge of coverage types, policy structures, and industry terminology
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions
  • Seek feedback and apply coaching to improve performance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of insurance or related clerical/service experience
  • P&C license required or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and agency management tools (EPIC or equivalent)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of basic insurance terminology and policy structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a regular, full-time schedule at a HUB facility
