Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT for Intercompany Team

Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Ensure accurate and timely complex accounting and reporting in accordance to Group deadlines and guidelines for Circle K business units on monthly, quarterly and year end basis;
• Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area;
• Perform intercompany transactions reconciliation, resolve discrepancies and errors;
• Ensure close dialogue with business units in Europe and North America;
• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines;
• In tight cooperation with immediate supervisor drive process improvements, quality and standardization efforts for accounting and financial reporting processes;
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests related to intercompany area, incl. collection and preparation of Transfer Pricing data for annual documentation purposes.
• Supervise sub-ordinated Accountants day-to-day work.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Strong analytical and accounting skills;
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process will be considered as an advantage;
• Strong analytical skills and process improvement capabilities;
• Ability to work in a changing environment;
• Good computer skills and general accounting system background. Oracle JDE and Excel skills at Advanced user level is an advantage;
• People management experience;
• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate successfully with colleagues abroad;
• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar. Accounting specialization is preferred;
• Solid experience (5+ years) in accounting or audit field within an international work environment;
• ACCA certificate or started ACCA studies is considered as an asset.
