We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Array BIT/CAL Systems Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD and will require 100% on-site work.
What You’ll get to Do:
As a lead Array Built-In-Test (BIT) / Calibration Systems Engineer in support of the MLSS business Unit you will apply strong systems engineering knowledge and understanding across disciplines and work with the various systems, hardware, and software teams.
Verifying that Array BIT Mode functions and systems operate effectively, ensuring errors are captured, corrected, or compensated for without impacting sensor performance.
Derive BIT/Calibration requirements
Design of the BIT/diagnostic and calibration mode
Evaluating the effectiveness of modeling and analysis
Gaining a deep understanding of Sensors Hardware capabilities
Developing and integrating software using C++ and Python
Define requirements to maintain system performance.
Verify embedded implementation of the BIT/Calibration mode.
Produce publication-quality documentation and supporting Factory Test activities
Engaging in system integration and test activities, as well as providing field support.
This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and approval of Special Program Access prior to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree with 10 years of experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship is required.
A current/active DoD Secret Clearance.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
Experience with MATLAB for Data Analysis
Domain experience in sensor simulations for RF sensors
Experience with integration and test of RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems
Experience programming in C/C++
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees in in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher
