Job Summary

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of agentic commerce transformation initiatives for Consumer Goods and Retail clients — helping organizations adapt to a new model of customer engagement where AI-powered agents, conversational interfaces, and intelligent systems are redefining how products are discovered, evaluated, and purchased. As customer journeys evolve beyond traditional digital channels, you will play a key role in translating emerging agentic commerce concepts into practical strategies and executable solutions. Working across strategy, digital experience, content, platform integration, and data teams, you will help clients improve how their products perform across digital channels, AI interfaces, and partner ecosystems — while ensuring readiness for the next generation of agent-mediated commerce interactions.

Roles & Responsibilities

As part of these, you will drive and lead the following:

  • Agentic commerce strategy and execution: Define how Consumer Goods and Retail products and brands should be structured and positioned for AI-driven discovery and agent-assisted decision-making — translating emerging agentic commerce trends into practical use cases and implementation roadmaps that clients can act on.
  • Digital commerce and discoverability leadership: Lead initiatives that improve how products are surfaced and engaged across digital and AI-enabled environments — identifying opportunities to enhance product discoverability across search, conversational interfaces, and digital ecosystems, and partnering with content and UX teams to optimize experiences for both customers and AI systems.
  • Commerce data and AI readiness: Oversee the structuring of product, pricing, availability, and customer data to support analytics, personalization, and AI use cases — ensuring data is well-organized, accessible, and ready to power intelligent commerce experiences across digital channels and partner ecosystems.
  • Digital platform and ecosystem integration: Lead analysis and solutioning of platform integrations and data architectures that support agentic commerce — collaborating with engineering teams to ensure product data, APIs, and digital feeds are structured and exposed in ways that enable AI-driven interactions and real-time decisioning.
  • AI discoverability and content optimization: Oversee improvements to how client products and content are structured for AI-driven discovery — working with GEO, content, and technology teams to ensure alignment between content strategy, platform architecture, and emerging AI search and recommendation standards.
  • Governance, compliance and quality assurance: Establish monitoring and governance frameworks for digital commerce data and platform outputs — ensuring alignment with privacy, compliance, and brand safety requirements across markets and partner ecosystems.
  • Client engagement and workstream leadership: Lead workstreams within broader transformation programmes — serving as a key point of contact for client teams, managing day-to-day interactions, leading workshops and working sessions, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all assigned initiatives.
  • Team and capability development: Manage consultants and analysts supporting project delivery — providing guidance, developing team capability, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and practice development within the Commerce AI space.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Proven experience leading digital transformation or commerce-related workstreams in Consumer Goods and Retail, with a track record of delivering practical, commercially grounded outcomes for clients.
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce operations — including product content management, platform integrations, D2C and marketplace channel strategies, and digital experience optimization.
  • Developing knowledge of agentic commerce, AI-driven customer experiences, and conversational interfaces — and how these are reshaping how products are discovered and transacted in CGRT.
  • Ability to translate complex digital and AI concepts into clear strategies and actionable recommendations for client stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Experience managing small teams and leading workstreams within large transformation programmes — with strong project management and delivery discipline.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills — with experience leading workshops, executive presentations, and senior stakeholder interactions.
  • Familiarity with digital commerce platforms, data integration approaches, and API-based ecosystems; exposure to AI readiness frameworks is a plus.

Additional Information

  • MBA/PGDM from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution preferred; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in consulting, digital strategy, or digital commerce within the Consumer Goods and Retail industry.
  • Experience working on digital transformation, customer experience, or platform-related initiatives is required.
  • Experience managing small teams and leading workstreams within complex programmes is required.
  • Exposure to AI-driven customer experiences, conversational interfaces, or emerging digital ecosystem trends is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering or technology leadership to prioritize platform and data readiness initiatives is an advantage.
  • Comfortable with travel as required by client engagements.
