The Outpatient Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care within the Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg Family Health Center outpatient pharmacy, supporting patients across a variety of ambulatory care specialties. In this patient-focused role, caregivers are responsible for prescription verification, clinical medication review, dispensing medications, administering immunizations, and providing medication counseling to promote safe and effective therapy. Additional responsibilities include managing inventory, addressing medication access and patient questions, optimizing pharmacy workflow, and collaborating with pharmacy technicians, providers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely prescription processing and exceptional patient care. By combining clinical expertise with outstanding customer service, this role plays a vital part in improving medication adherence, enhancing the patient experience, and maintaining compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations in a collaborative outpatient setting.
A caregiver in this position will work a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, typically consisting of one opening shift (7:45am–6:15pm) and one closing shift (9:45am–8:15pm) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Caregivers may also participate in a rotating Saturday coverage pool at the Beachwood Pharmacy, averaging approximately six Saturdays per year. Holiday coverage is limited, with participation in the Euclid Avenue Pharmacy holiday rotation approximately once every four years. There are no on-call responsibilities.
