The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for general administrative and accounting functions within the Workers' Compensation unit of the Compliance department.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for routine insurance compliance administrative activities.
  • Review, allocate and pay invoices from various Workers’ Compensation regulatory entities.
  • Communicate as needed with the Workers’ Compensation regulatory Boards and Bureaus and with our General Agents.
  • Responsible for daily tasks such as opening, reviewing, scanning and appropriately distributing incoming hard copy mail.
  • Review and distribute electronic mail received in the centralized Workers’ Compensation mail box.
  • Take incoming calls that reception staff are unable to handle; guide the caller to the appropriate resource.
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of products and markets being served by SNC.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Compliance Analysts, Sr. Compliance Analysts and management as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes.
  • Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with little supervision.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Insurance company or agency experience helpful
