| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Wastewater Operator to manage and maintain wastewater treatment operations within our manufacturing facility in Indiana. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) standards, while supporting environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
Crew D | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Rotating 12-hour night shifts
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems including pumps, blowers, tanks, and vacuum equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning.
Collect and analyze water samples for chemical and biological parameters.
Ensure effluent quality meets or exceeds NPDES permit limitations.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment equipment.
Maintain accurate logs of operations, maintenance, and compliance activities.
Assist in emergency response and troubleshooting of system failures.
Support environmental, health, and safety compliance initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments for facility maintenance and utility support.
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Valid Indiana driver’s license.
Class II Indiana Wastewater Operator license (or willingness to obtain through training).
Experience in operating wastewater treatment systems in a manufacturing environment.
Skills
Ability to perform mathematical calculations for dosages, ratios, and volumetric analysis.
Proficiency in computer systems including database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Knowledge of IDEM regulations and NPDES permit requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations.
Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varied environmental conditions.
