Principal Program Manager – eCommerce Platform

Role Overview

We are hiring a Principal Program Manager to lead the modernisation and migration of a large-scale eCommerce technology platform. This role will drive delivery of a complex, cloud-native uplift across AWS infrastructure, security, reliability, observability, and regulatory compliance (PCI DSS), while overseeing the migration of thousands of merchants from a legacy platform to a modern eCommerce solution.

You will operate as an Agile delivery leader, coordinating multiple cross-functional teams to plan, sequence, and deliver platform capabilities safely and incrementally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the eCommerce platform uplift and migration program.
• Drive Agile planning across multiple teams, including roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and release sequencing.
• Coordinate large-scale merchant migrations with minimal disruption to customers.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, security, and operations to deliver platform capabilities into production.
• Embed security, risk, and compliance requirements (including PCI DSS) into delivery plans.
• Plan and track penetration testing, security reviews, and audit remediation.
• Support platform reliability and operational readiness, including go-live and post-release stabilisation.
• Provide clear, outcome-focused reporting to senior stakeholders and executives.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of experience in program or delivery management, including senior or principal-level roles.
• Strong experience delivering Agile programs across multiple teams and complex platforms.
• Proven delivery of large-scale platform migrations or transformations, ideally in eCommerce.
• Solid technical fluency across AWS, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in regulated environments, with strong understanding of PCI DSS and security delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in matrixed organisations.

Desirable Experience

• High-scale eCommerce platforms.
• Merchant onboarding or migration programs.
• Experience with SRE, observability, and reliability engineering practices.
