SUMMARY:

Placer.ai is looking for a talented sales development professional who will be responsible for getting prospects excited to take a demo of our software. You will be responsible for prospecting via phone, email and social media. Your primary goal is to qualify all prospects and ensure account executives have a clear understanding of their needs in order to convert leads into clients. Sales development representatives are a valuable and critical part of our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts from lead-generation activities, such as outbound cold-calling, emailing, and direct mailers into targeted accounts.
  • Engage with prospects via phone by making a minimum of 500 calls per week.
  • Generate qualified meetings both before and after events.
  • Help manage the sales team’s meeting calendar before events.
  • Distribute qualified new opportunities to appropriate account executives, collaborating with account executives to determine appropriate action items.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Placer’s platform, industry trends, and data.
  • Some travel for events may be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS or similar college-level education
  • Ideal candidate will have a high desire to build a career in Sales.
  • 2+ years in the SDR function or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level interactions with internal and external contacts.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Salesloft/Outreach required. 
  • Exceptional ability to organize work and tasks; attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning new things and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of SaaS and marketing technology industry.
  • Knowledge of the Retail, Real-Estate, or Marketing Analytics market is desirable.

The U.S. annualized pay range for this position is $55,068-$62,000 USD. In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales-based commissions. Base pay offered within the stated range may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related skills, professional experience, education and licenses (if applicable), work location and compensation market data.

Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Placer provides medical, dental and vision coverage as well as flexible time off, 401K and equity awards for certain roles.
