The Role

As an Associate Territory Manager – Joint Replacement, you’ll play a critical role in supporting surgeons and clinical teams across hip, knee, and robotic-assisted joint replacement procedures.

This role is part of our Joint Replacement business and is based in South Brisbane, supporting a strong and growing customer base across the region. You’ll work closely with experienced Territory Managers, clinical teams, and hospital stakeholders while developing the clinical, commercial, and relationship-building skills required to progress toward full territory ownership.

What You Will Do

  • Support sales growth and territory expansion by executing day-to-day sales activities and assisting with account planning across South Brisbane.
  • Provide in-theatre clinical support to surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure the safe and effective use of Stryker Joint Replacement products.
  • Support hip, knee, and robotic-assisted joint replacement procedures, including case preparation, product guidance, instrumentation support, and post-case follow-up.
  • Build strong clinical and technical knowledge across Stryker’s Joint Replacement portfolio, including Triathlon, Accolade, Insignia, Mako, and associated enabling technologies.
  • Partner with Territory Managers to track performance, identify opportunities, support customer conversion, and progress strategic territory initiatives.
  • Build professional and trusted relationships with surgeons, registrars, theatre nurses, NUMs, CSSD teams, loan coordinators, procurement teams, and other key hospital stakeholders.
  • Support customer education through in-services, product demonstrations, theatre training, and clinical discussions.
  • Troubleshoot product, instrumentation, and workflow-related issues using clinical insight and coordinate timely resolutions.
  • Manage inventory, loan kits, instruments, and implants to ensure appropriate product availability and compliance with company standards.
  • Analyse territory activity, customer feedback, and field insights to improve account coverage, clinical adoption, and sales execution.
  • Develop commercial confidence by learning how to identify opportunities, progress conversions, respond to competitor discussions, and communicate the value of Stryker’s offering.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity, case support, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
  • Represent Stryker professionally and ethically in all customer and hospital interactions.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, sales, healthcare, or clinical support role.
  • Ability to work in hospital environments, including operating theatres.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, variable theatre schedules, and occasional long days as required.
  • Current valid driver’s licence.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in an allied health field such as physiotherapy, nursing, exercise science, biomedical science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in medical devices, orthopaedics, surgical support, healthcare sales, or clinical education.
  • Exposure to working toward sales targets, KPIs, or performance-based outcomes in any industry.
  • Understanding of orthopaedics, anatomy, biomechanics, or joint replacement procedures.
  • Previous experience building relationships with healthcare professionals or hospital stakeholders.
  • Interest in robotic-assisted surgery, enabling technology, and commercial medical device sales.
