This role will be responsible for ongoing analysis and reporting of dealer warranty operational performance. This involves a high level of analysis, evaluating, forecasting, tracking and reporting warranty claim expenses at a national, regional and dealer level. Support assessment of dealership fixed operations and warranty policy & procedure compliance.
Having knowledge of Warranty Administration, Policy & Procedures, the incumbent will consult and advise on a variety of reporting aspects including, but not limited to, Warranty reporting. Provide policy & procedure support and guidance to internal and regional staff, fielding requests and answering questions. Ability to identify requestor’s needs, offer value-added recommendations, and ensure resolution. Strong communication and customer service skills are required. Operates in a team environment and works individually as necessary. Administers special projects or programs. Able to assist management with warranty performance activities or other tasks.

Job Knowledge and Skills:
Desired competencies: Detail-oriented, analytical, PC skills, data modeling, and data interpretation. Able to produce creative data summaries or dashboards using visualization tools (Tableau). Advance knowledge of data standardization. Integrate from multiple data sources while maintaining data integrity.
Have strong automotive service & repair knowledge and current repair technology. Understands dealer service department processes, have warranty claims processing experience. Functional knowledge of warranty policy & procedures, OEM regional dealer contact experience. Applicant must also have good presentation, effective verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and analytical techniques. Strong leadership and project coordinator skills. Must be results oriented and motivated working cross-functionally while fostering a teamwork environment.
Interpersonal Skills: This position requires a variety of interpersonal skills that deal with presenting and communicating warranty performance information, developing business requirements for new warranty systems/ programs, and performing internal and competitor benchmarking. Although most communications are collegial in nature, conflict resolution skills are required for dealing with disagreements relating to policies. Communications are often complex when giving detailed explanations to management regarding warranty expense results and policy issues.
Complexity & Problem Solving: Problems encountered by this position deal most often with warranty reporting, program operations and warranty policies. The incumbent will investigate by collecting facts from multiple sources, then research issues and work with department teams or independently to determine and propose appropriate resolutions.
Sensory and Physical Demands: Sensory demands are moderate and include extensive PC usage and concentration for report analysis. Physical effort centers on keyboard use with prolonged periods seated.
Decision-Making/ Impact of the Position: The incumbent is responsible for making the day-to-day decisions required for their position. Common decision-making responsibilities include: how to assess and report warranty expense performance trends to managers. Decisions relating to policy changes that affect the dealer body, the parent organization, or other departments typically require management approval.
