RAC Auto Services in Mandurah is looking for an experienced automotive master technician to take that next step up into a Workshop Controller / Team Leader role. Our Mandurah centre has an air-conditioned workshop with free amenities and FREE onsite parking.

What will you be doing? 

Reporting to the Center Manager, this role leads a team including 1 senior technician, 4 technicians and 4 apprentices. You are responsible for coordinating workshop operations which includes a variety of activities, including but not limited to: 

  • Managing workshop daily activities and allocating repair orders to workshop staff. 
  • Conducting fault diagnostic and quality control checks on all work performed 
  • Checking vehicle safety reports to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Undertaking vehicle servicing and repairs when required
  • Managing and controlling end to end stock and parts management. 
  • Adherence to Health and Safety legislative and RAC requirements  

What are we looking for in you? 

  • Recognised qualification in Automotive Trade 
  • Minimum C Class Drivers licence and Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence 
  • The ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a team. 
  • An outstanding level of mechanical servicing and fault diagnostic skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conflict resolution skills. 
  • Strong level of computer literacy 

This role requires an individual with proven hands-on leadership ability and experience, excellent prioritisation, and organisational skills along with a genuine desire to develop themselves and others.
