Mission:

  • Understand, support and ensure application and follow-up of policies and procedures impacting Finance, including closing and reporting areas
  • Coordinate and support team members during accounting period and especially on month-end, including the review of trial balance, revenue and margin, journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Supervise all local statutory activities, coordinating Solar team members and external advisors
  • Ensure timely and quality submission of monthly trial balance and any other required report
  • Review and provide guidance for complex accounting issues, with the support of management and Technical Accounting teams
  • Support the business with accurate financial data and analysis
  • Coordination of internal and external audits, implement action plans, and proactively work to prevent future issues
  • Perform financial analysis to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances, and accurate financial reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP and authoritative accounting literature (i.e. FASB pronouncements).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner 
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change 
  • Experience leading in a global business environment
  • Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows 
  • Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas 
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
  • Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions 
  • Experience working on cross functional teams including remote share services centers
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
