We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/PS Specialist, based in Ferrara, Italy, to support and improve our production and project management processes within our SAP ECC landscape.

Role Overview

As an SAP PP/PS Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting all processes related to production planning and project systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders and end users, primarily based in Germany at our Stuttgart site, to ensure stable processes in the dedicated area.
Reporting line to our SAP ERP Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact and consultant for business departments regarding all SAP PP (Production Planning) and PS (Project System) related topics
• Analyse, design, and continuously optimize SAP-based production and project management processes (second level support)
• Collaborate with business users to review change requests, assess feasibility of implementation, clarify detail requirements, design functional solutions, translate them into SAP configurations either in standard and/or create programming specifications
• Take ownership of SAP PP/PS customizing and ensure stable, efficient system solutions
• Ensure seamless integration of PP and PS with related SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO
• Ensure proper SAP integration to third party systems like MES and detailed scheduling
• Coordinate system testing, change requests, and process enhancements in close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Create and maintain functional and technical documentation and conduct end-user training sessions

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• SAP PP/PS certification preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years as an SAP PP/PS consultant/expert, with hands-on experience in ECC/R3 environments. PS expertise is very much appreciated. You may apply as well if you have a basic knowledge and want to develop further into the PS area.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Production Planning (PP) and Project Systems (PS) modules, ideally in manufacturing or project-based environments
  • Deep understanding of core business processes in the dedicated areas
  • Ability and willingness to onboard into a highly customized SAP system
  • Experience with customizing and support activities.
  • Cross-module familiarity, especially with FI/CO, PP, SD, MM and WM.
  • Basic ABAP debugging skills (programming knowledge advantageous).
  • Experience with third-party system interfaces (e.g. MES)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITMS.

  • Flexibility for occasional travel to Germany.
• Languages:
  • English: Indispensable (fluent written and spoken).
  • German: Preferable (C1 level preferred).
  • Italian: a plus but not mandatory.

Location: Ferrara, Italy - The candidate will be primarily based at the office, with the possibility of remote work after the onboarding phase (up to 2 days per week).
