Job Description

Process Automation Engineer designs, defines and implements complex system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions.

Responsibilities - you will do

  • Be a member of a project team tasked with delivering Process projects on Rockwell Automations PlantPAx DCS.
  • Design, Implementation and Testing of control system software including control modules, equipment modules, equipment phases, graphics, alarms, safety interlocks etc.
  • Generating detailed design documents and qualification documents.
  • Ensure that automation systems and associated documents are designed in compliance with all relevant GMP standards.

The essentials - you will have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with a focus towards Automation & Control. E.g., Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechatronics.
  • 3+ years projects delivery experience in the Process sector.
  • Experience in PLC, HMI, SCADA is required.
  • Languages: fluent English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the EU and UK.

The preferred - you might also have

  • Experience in the Life Sciences bio-pharma sector or close.
  • Experience delivering Process Control Systems with PlantPAx is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the Rockwell Automation portfolio of products such as Studio5000 & FactoryTalk Software Especially FT View SE, FTBatch) will be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Batch Process Control, ISA-S88 standard programming
  • Knowledge and experience of GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM E2500, GMP, etc. highly desirable.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Good problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and innovate.
  • Self-starter with ability to initiate and lead others with little supervision.
  • Strong work ethic – someone who loves to do great work and takes pride in quality, professionalism, responsibility, and proactiveness.
  • Willingness to work & travel across EMEA when required. Approx. 20-40% of time.
