Within the Core Services organization, CDFS Operations team enables EG and subsidiaries to manage their financial and Tax platforms globally while meeting statutory and financial regulatory compliance. This team delivers, collaborates and globally supports more than 10,000 businesses users of the enterprise financial platform.
In this role, you will:
Play a key role in the analysis, design, development and maintenance of cloud applications and services within EG’s Financial Systems’ AWS integration platform.
Actively collaborate with members of the larger platform team to create and maintain efficient and scalable solutions. You will coordinate with cross-geo resources to ensure quality development and delivery.
Build foundational tools that enable teams to operate their services safely and securely.
Triage production incidents and work across multiple teams to resolve issues and perform RCA.
Able to multi-task while ensuring high quality of results with dedication to high standards of code quality and testing.
Demonstrate experience to work through/around blocking events and deploy complex yet elegant, efficient solutions.
Will be responsible for participating in project-related ceremonies – stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and sprint planning.
Experience and qualifications:
Possess 3+ years of experience in enterprise software development with 2+ years' experience in building services and applications in AWS cloud platform.
Developer with hands on experience with native AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, CloudFormation templates, ECS/EKS, AWS Batch.
Familiar with high volume transactional systems, microservice design, continuous delivery, automated deployments, and related engineering practices.
Knowledge of building scalable web systems with microservice architecture using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, etc. is highly desired.
Working experience with DevOps Tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Spinnaker and Concourse.
Working experience in monitoring observability tools such as Data Dog, Splunk.
Familiar with managing AWS RDS instances of Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
Experience in delivering automated solutions that improve platform health, security, cost-efficiency, visibility and alerting and monitoring.
Effectively communicate with others in a courteous, thoughtful and professional manner and demonstrate multi-tasking ability for orchestrating multiple activities at a time.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
