ABB's Electrification business offers a wide-ranging portfolio of products, digital solutions and services, from substation to socket, enabling safe, smart and sustainable electrification. Offerings encompass digital and connected innovations for low- and medium-voltage, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, power protection, wiring accessories, switchgear, enclosures, cabling, sensing and control.
We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented HR Business Partner for ABB Electrification Norway AS in Skien. You will work closely with our professional management teams to coach and develop the organization, managers, and employees to reach our goals based on the business- and HR strategy. Tasks are performed in close cooperation with ABB’s global HR team and service centers.
As HRBP, you will have the opportunity to influence the organizational development within Business Line Switchgear and use your knowledge, experience, and competence to develop the organization in the right direction in an unprecedent growth period.
Tasks and Responsibility:
Collaborate with the Leadership team to drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive organizational culture, while contributing to strategic projects that support business objectives.
Serve as the main HR contact for all key personnel matters within a specific function or area, supporting line management with HR issues and challenges.
Support managers and be proactive with regards change management in a highly dynamic working environment.
Advise on HR processes such as employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, succession planning, and development in line with ABB standards and strategy.
Implement HR policies and Compensation & Benefits schemes in line with ABB country policy
Participate in recruitment processes as HRBP in cooperation with hiring manager and EL Talent Partner
Influence on diversity, equality and inclusion-related initiatives
Lead local Business Line Competence & People Development initiatives by identifying skill gaps with management, summarizing course options for all staff, and designing training to drive business success. Support managers with the implementation of the strategic workforce plan and succession planning strategies.
Development and maintaining onboarding programs for office workers, production workers and new managers.
Drive employer branding by organizing engaging workshops, seminars, and collaborative school and university visits to our factories, while coordinating with key stakeholders and acting as a central contact for apprentice coordinators to ensure a seamless and appealing apprenticeship experience.

You must have a structured way of working with an adaptable and flexible attitude
Business and people-oriented mindset
Highly communicative or Strong communication skills
In-depth knowledge of local labor law and best practices
Absolutely trustworthy and confidential
Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR related topics or other relevant education
Minimum 6 years’ experience in HR Management
Proven experience in creating and implementing people development plans
Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written. Culture change agent and focused on driving improvement on all aspects of diversity.
