Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager representing Herbold Meckesheim USA (a Coperion brand) in Providence, RI, is responsible for our growing industrial equipment business for the plastics and recycling market in North America. We are seeking a resilient, self-starter to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast. We are looking for someone with a passion for outside sales and a desire to build a sales territory.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for lead and quote generation, management of multiple corporate accounts, and building a sales territory through new account generation on the West Coast of the US.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key customers utilizing such techniques as cold-calling and/or canvassing additional prospects, and/or participate in trade shows and sales seminars in order to expand business opportunities and increase revenue.
  • Effectively manage customer accounts of all sizes.
  • Develop an individual strategy for maximizing sales of service products to all major assigned accounts, set and achieve the goals of assigned territory, and develop/implement strategy for closing orders.
  • Coordinate the efforts of quotations, ensuring the accuracy of quoted equipment selection, pricing, and commercial terms, closely monitoring satisfaction of customers and status of outstanding quotations.
  • Monitor and evaluate activities, services, and products of the competition, taking actions to protect the market and grow business.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel:  
    40% or as required to meet customer visits

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, engineering, or communications preferred but not required.

Minimum 3 years of successful selling and building client relationships experience, ideally within the industrial and manufacturing industries.

Knowledge of selling process and marketing techniques

Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, CRM, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have excellent professional verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills and be skilled in coordinating and organizing with attention to detail.

Proven experience working in a remote environment with minimal supervision
