Job Summary

The Internal Agency Ultrasound Technologist responds to department critical coverage needs throughout the system.  Competency requires versatility to cover any need throughout system Radiology Ultrasound departments.  Performs Ultrasound procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care in radiology, maintaining high quality imaging and patient welfare as a top priority.  Supports didactic training of radiology students through demonstration and constructive guidance.

Education:
▪ Required: Graduate of ARRT accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

▪ Preferred: Associates Degree in Radiology or a related field
Experience:
▪ Preferred: 2 years experience after graduation as a Registered Technologist in Ultrasound
Skills:
▪ Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
▪ Knowledge of current diagnostic radiology technical information.
▪ Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
▪ Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
▪ Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ Required: R.T. (S) (ARRT) or ARDMS (AB), (OB/GY), (VT) or (MSKS)
