As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project demands.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Involve validating an application s speed, scalability, and stability under load by designing test scenarios, scripting user behavior (JMeter), executing various test types (load, stress, endurance), monitoring system resources (CPU/Memory), analyzing bottleneck data, and collaborating with developers to optimize performance
-Require a blend of technical expertise in scripting (JMeter, LoadRunner), monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Grafana), and database/network architecture to analyze bottlenecks.
- Crucial attributes include strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and effective communication to report complex technical findings to stakeholders.
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices for software development and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
-Mastering tools like JMeter or LoadRunner, scripting in languages such as Python or Java, and analyzing metrics using APM tools like Dynatrace.
- Key requirements include understanding network protocols (HTTP/S), SQL for database validation, system architecture, and capacity planning to simulate realistic, scalable user loads
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Performance Testing Strategy.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience in designing and executing performance test plans and scripts.
- Ability to analyze system behavior under various load conditions and identify bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques to ensure system reliability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing software performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Performance Testing Strategy.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
