Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader you will be accountable for providing administrative support and a referral point to the Home Assessors whilst ensuring a consistent delivery of home insurance claims services to our members. This is achieved by having great conversations over the phone and by accurate information recording on our systems.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver exceptional service to members and service providers on claims enquiries
  • Manage assigned caseload of claims in line with best practice procedures
  • Assist assessors with claim reserving, payments, EFT forms and cash settlement fact sheets
  • Assist assessors with assessment bookings
  • Arrange appointments for specialists, engineers, builders and other service providers
  • Provide claim outcomes to members, explaining the process and timeframes
  • Assist assessors with claim follow ups, correspondence and enquiries
  • Review supplier quotes based on assessor instructions and assist assessors with office duties
  • Assist the Team Leader with office management duties as required

What are we looking for?

  • Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a high attention to detail
  • Experience in conflict resolution and negotiating
  • Time management skills
  • Previous experience working within insurance claims desirable or specific home claims experience would be beneficial
