Educate the Brightest Minds in a Per diem Nurse Educator - CUIMC - Day shift

Responsibilities included but are not limited to collaborating on projects related to our Magnet journey, developing course curriculum incorporating evidence-based practice, and teaching courses using cutting-edge technology. At NYPH, we promote best clinical practices and inspire award-winning nurses. The nurse educator regularly evaluates staff competencies and provides clinical mentorship and career guidance. 

This is a per diem Day shift position located at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia. 4 shifts per month requirement.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in MedSurg/Progressive Nursing
• Experience in Nursing Education and Simulation
• Simulation, preferred not required
• A passion for combining innovation with education, and the ability to connect well with staff
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certification

Required Criteria 

• Prior nursing education experience 
• Current NYS RN licensure
• Minimum of 4 years related clinical nursing experience
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
• BCLS certification thru AHA
