Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As Senior Manager, Financial Consumer Protection Framework (FCPF) Strategy and Delivery, you’ll lead critical regulatory initiatives to strengthen consumer protection across Personal Banking & Commercial Banking (PB&CB). This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with senior leaders, shape risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. You’ll drive cross-functional projects, influence governance routines, and act as a subject matter expert, making a direct impact on RBC’s commitment to ethical and customer-centric practices.
What will you do?
Lead regulatory strategy and delivery priorities, including horizontal issue management and 1LOD/2LOD assessments.
Manage RSD-led initiatives (e.g., IT app dev, risk mitigation projects).
Provide insights, root cause analysis, and presentations at governance forums.
Support LOBs with control analyses and compliance requirements.
Develop control thresholds and monitoring capabilities for regulatory risk.
Enhance horizontal risk mitigation strategies and compliance controls.
Support regulatory change management and frontline communications.
Contribute to board reporting, complaints governance, and FCPF quarterly reports.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
4–7+ years of financial sector experience, including regulatory compliance, risk analysis, and large program management.
Strong communication skills (written/verbal) for proposals, presentations, and senior stakeholder engagement.
Proven relationship-building and collaboration across LOBs, operations, and executive teams.
Project management expertise, including diverse stakeholder coordination.
Deep understanding of consumer protection regulations (e.g., FCPF) and 1LOD/2LOD frameworks.
Analytical proficiency in root cause analysis and control design.
Nice to have:
Direct experience in PB&CB or retail banking operations.
Familiarity with RBC’s internal risk/compliance tools.
Process improvement certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
