The position is responsible for selling, administration, and market planning, communications, and inventory management. Sales personnel development and training are also components of this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Administrative:
- 3% Identify sources of group business to the hotel and establish solicitation programs to maximize group sales
- 3% Participate in development of marketing plan and budget
- 3% Assist with forecasting for 30/60/90 day reports
- 3% Provide guidance to new and current sales staff, as requested by the Director of Sales/Marketing
- 3% Properly maintain files and accounts
- 4% In the absence of the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales, ADOS is responsible for the sales office operations
Selling:
- 6% Develop and maintain national account base that produce significant revenue
- 6% Implement sales action plan which includes telephone/direct mail solicitation, personal call program, related sales trips, trade show participation and entertainment
- 6% Respond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects and lead referrals
- 6% Respect guideline of confidentiality and code of ethics in all company areas. Represent Loews Hotels in a professional manner at all times
- 3% Respond promptly to requests by Director of Sales and Director of Marketing for reports and other assignments
- 3% Execute sales trips to geographic markets assigned per year
- 3% Achieve sales room night and revenue goals as specified in the goal setting process
- 3% Develop working relationship with hotel department heads and operational areas
- 3% Represent Loews Hotels in a professional manner at industry trade shows and meetings, as outlined in the marketing plan
- 3% Follow up promptly on all assigned leads
- 3% Be a primary liaison to the Loews National Sales Offices, third party meeting planners and Convention Bureau staff

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Excellent networking, negotiation and presentation skills required
- Must be a skilled leader, have strong organizational skills, and have thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations
