We are recruiting for an ambitious and commercially focused field based Regional Business Development Manager to drive growth and develop strategic partnerships across Reading and the surrounding areas.
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the winning and initial development of new business partners for sustainable growth within predefined market sectors but not limited to (Finance, Car Supermarkets, Dealerships, Car & Van Rental Fleets).
The OTE for this position is £46,397 per annum (Basic £31,997 + Commission) plus mileage expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify new quality prospects to provide sales growth. Ensuring the commercial viability of all new business. Building growth of new accounts through relationship building regular contact and sales negotiation.
Manage accounts for the first 12 months of their life as a Copart seller, maintaining regular contact, conducting customer reviews and embedding Copart as a true partner of choice.
Management of new business pipeline.
Identify and sell appropriate product into each customer, maximising margin opportunities.
Set own appointments and manage own diary. Management of recording full and concise notes from visits and qualification calls.
Ensure accurate and timely management updates and reports.
Always maintain CRM database with orders, activity and account contact information.
Achieve annual sales targets and objectives as set by the business.
Manage contractual documentation to ensure full compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Operation Centres and key internal stakeholders.
Place of work will be a blend of home office, head office, operation centres and field based within your set region.
What we need from you:
Essential:
Proven track record in B2B/SME sales or business development, preferably in a regional/field-based role.
Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of value-based selling.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle to be able to travel within your given region (mileage paid as per HMRC guideline rates).
Desirable:
Background in the Automotive sector – dealer / remarketing or motor finance sectors.
Experience selling complex service solutions to SME clients.
