Stone Harbor Wealth Partners, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. is seeking a professional, organized, and friendly Front Office Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. This entry level, hourly position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a professional office environment while providing excellent customer service and administrative support. The role is essential to maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and polished office atmosphere. This position will report directly to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities

Visitor & Client Interaction:

  • Greet clients and visitors promptly and professionally

  • Manage visitor flow and direct guests to appropriate areas

  • Ensure clients feel welcome and comfortable upon arrival

Communication Management:

  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls

  • Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries

  • Assist with outgoing correspondence and client mailings

Scheduling & Logistics:

  • Schedule appointments as needed

  • Coordinate conference room usage and prepare rooms for meetings

  • Maintain meeting areas before and after scheduled use

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general office support to staff as needed

  • Perform light data entry and routine filing

  • Assist with overflow administrative tasks

Office Maintenance:

  • Keep the reception area, conference rooms, and common spaces clean, professional, and well‑organized

  • Ensure front office and meeting spaces are stocked with supplies

  • Coordinate office maintenance and repair needs in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Client Support Service staff

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience working in an office environment as a receptionist, customer service representative, or in office administration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), scheduling software, phone systems, printers, and other standard office equipment

  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to handle problems calmly and professionally

  • Reliable, punctual, customer‑focused, and able to work well under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management abilities

  • High level of professionalism in a fast‑paced office environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office software
