About the Role

Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk. 

You will lead and develop a team of multilingual experts who research, record and update details on state-owned entities or entities owned by sanctioned subjects from specific countries for the State-Owned Companies (SOC) and the Sanctions Control & Ownership (SCO) content sets within Dow Jones Risk & Compliance. You will report to the Director, Companies Ownership Research. You will be based in Singapore.

You Will:

  • Train, support and develop your team to maximize their potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation

  • Organise and assign tasks to your team, allocating resources appropriately and identifying workflow efficiencies

  • Monitor and evaluate your team’s performance

  • Respond to clients’ questions about State-Owned Companies (SOC) or Sanctions Control & Ownership (SCO) contents

  • Monitor and analyse information related to companies ownership and sanctions programmes

  • Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects

  • Collaborate and engage with other departments and support the Director to drive key business initiatives and decisions

  • Contribute to data and workflow improvements, and tool efficiencies

You Have:

  • Fluency in English

  • Understanding of company ownership research and sanctions regulations

  • Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information

  • Experience managing a team or leading a project

  • Experience explaining data or processes and handling complex clients’ queries

  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills

  • An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity

Preferred:

  • Fluency in additional languages

  • Experience as a professional researcher or analyst

  • Knowledge of and interest in current affairs, anti-money laundering regulations and the workings of the global Sanctions landscape

  • Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML and/or SQL

  • Education to a degree level or relevant experience
