🚀 Principal Integrations Engineer

Location: Hybrid – Mequon, WI

🔍 Position Purpose / Mission

As Charter Manufacturing’s Principal Integrations Engineer, you’ll be the architect behind seamless, secure, and scalable integrations across hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll design frameworks, APIs, and data pipelines that unlock efficiency, reliability, and accessibility across the business.

You’ll serve as both a hands‑on technical leader and a trusted mentor, setting integration standards, guiding complex implementations, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance. Your work will directly influence how Charter leverages technology to drive growth and innovation.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise integration solutions and data pipelines connecting ERP, CRM, MES, and cloud platforms

  • Establish integration standards, frameworks, and best practices to ensure solutions are reusable, secure, and scalable

  • Architect and optimize data flows using modern integration and data engineering tools

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering skill growth and consistency in delivery

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, technology roadmaps, and security standards

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into robust integration solutions

  • Evaluate and implement emerging integration technologies to improve performance and flexibility

  • Document designs, data flows, and interface specifications for compliance and ongoing maintenance

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve integration operations for reliability and performance

  • Lead governance and review processes to ensure integration solutions meet Charter’s standards

✅ What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in systems integration, software engineering, or data engineering

  • Proven success leading enterprise‑scale integration projects across ERP, CRM, MES, and cloud platforms

  • Expertise in API development and management (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and integration design patterns

  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Data Factory) or equivalent platforms

  • Proficiency with middleware technologies (Oracle SOA Suite, MuleSoft, Boomi, Talend) and message‑based architectures (Kafka, Service Bus, JMS)

  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead cross‑functional teams, and influence technology direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures integrating on‑premise systems (Oracle EBS, SAP) with SaaS/PaaS applications

  • Certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture or Integration Services

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices for integration (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure‑as‑code)

  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and data warehouse integrations (Snowflake, Databricks)

  • Experience defining and implementing integration governance and lifecycle management processes
