Position Highlights:

  • Position: Maintenace Mechanic
  • Hourly Pay Range: $23.64 - $34.86. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Shift: Afternoon


General Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Facilities Management  with accountability to the Maintenance Coordinator, performs preventive and corrective maintenance to mobile equipment,  fixed building equipment, building exterior  and structural element systems  within the building and grounds.

 

What you will need:

  • The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of four years of high school or the equivalent and the completion of an accredited trade school program or trade apprentice-ship program in one or more of the basic maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, masonry, hydraulics, etc.

  • Three years experience in advanced building maintenance or as a building trade contractor.

  • General knowledge of all areas of maintenance and the use of all basic hand and power tools.

  • The ability to perform maintenance techniques such as brazing, welding, plumbing and the basic carpentry skills necessary to repair furniture, woodwork, doors, etc.

  • The ability to read and interpret building blueprints, schematics, and detailed diagrams.

  • The ability to use a computer for the storage and retrieval of data.
