Sr. Analyst, Compliance Analytics

The Sr. Analyst, Compliance Analytics is primarily responsible for risk-based data mining and analysis within their designated business area.

Job Description

Monitors activities to minimize the company's exposure to risk. Activities may include quantitative analysis, risk identification and remediation. Represents or supports the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company and legal standards. Responsible for ensuring that all of the company's activities adhere to the necessary rules and regulations, and that the company complies with legal/regulatory statutes and jurisdictions.

Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company. Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies.  Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies. Identifies, manages, and reports on the company's risk areas. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Performs data mining and analytics for designated business area.  Creates Microsoft 365 solutions to automate repeatable tasks, integrated reporting with PowerBI, driven by Python coding, and connected to Snowflake Cloud storage.
  • Develops and delivers dashboards, metrics, and reporting in support of Compliance objectives. Identifies trends through actionable presentation to senior consultants for implementation.
  • Follows information system best practices to drive the most efficient and effective implementations and integration across designated business area. Designs scalable workflows and tools to automate processes for assigned business unit.
  • Supports data architecture initiatives, including key data element identification, testing, escalation, and remediation.
  • Builds and maintains sustainable relationships with key business and IT stakeholders.
  • Participates in phases of the development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Serves as a point of contact for business unit's data-related questions and inquiries.
  • Supports various projects and conducts ad hoc assignments as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Architecture or equivalent quantitative field is required.

     

Work Experience:

3+ Years Risk Analyst, Risk Management, Analyst preferred.

                                

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of data analysis, visualizations, and programming.
  • Proficiency with Python and Microsoft 365 required. 
  • At least one additional programming proficiency required.  Preference for SQL, SAS, and/or R.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and rapidly changing technologies, including Big Data, digital currency, and AI/ML.
  • Possess high drive, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic to produce accurate and timely product under pressure and ahead of strict deadlines in a high-visibility environment.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

$72,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$105,000.00 USD
