What is the France, Benelux and Nordics Distribution team responsible for?

The France, Benelux and Nordics Distribution team develop strong business partnerships with our clients, who are fund buyers and fund sellers (banks, insurance companies, family offices, independent asset managers) as well as institutional investors (pension schemes, general accounts, consultants).

We are a diverse team based in Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris and Stockholm who enjoys partnering effectively across our offices and with our other Franklin Templeton colleagues, to retain and grow our local business.

The Client Service Executive we are hiring will work alongside the external sales team to focus on the Benelux region primarily – with a probable tilt towards Belgium and Netherlands based clients.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Client Service Executive?

  • Respond to client inquiries (professional investors) with a focus on delivering excellent service

  • Collaborate with internal resources in order to match or exceed client expectations:

  • Ensure clients receive necessary reporting and other information in a timely and accurate manner, in compliance with local regulations

  • Work on Requests For Proposal and other client questionnaires

  • Extract and format fund information to support client requests

  • Understand Franklin Templeton’s core product strategies and investment processes

  • Build credibility and trust with sales colleagues to work alongside them and support the sales process:

  • Schedule and prepare client meetings

  • Attend select meetings together with sales leads

  • Invite clients to Franklin Templeton events

  • Proactively contact clients to supply them with sales & marketing information

  • Attend conferences and events to stay up to date on market trends and client needs, and represent Franklin Templeton where necessary

  • Help the team generate a strong pipeline by identifying new opportunities

  • Continuously develop market knowledge

  • Keep CRM system up-to-date and track all relevant client activities and information

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally within the field of Finance and/or economics, or equivalent work experience

  • Previous experience (around 2-3 years) in a client service or sales environment within the financial services industry, ideally within Benelux, will be advantageous

  • General knowledge of mutual funds and investment processes

  • Fluency in Dutch and English required; French and other languages a plus

  • Proven ability to understand and respond to client needs, solve problems and create solutions

  • Strong team player with the ability to use own initiative

  • Successful experience in cross-functional and international collaboration

  • Comfort in developing and maintaining relationships via virtual communication tools, with strong spoken and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills

  • Proven ability to manage work pressure and prioritize effectively

  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, and act as a company advocate
