As a Pricing Solutions Consultant in Global Parts Pricing with focus on dealer pricing capabilities, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate project leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills. This role will work with Caterpillar’s dealer and internal partners to assess and further develop dealer’s parts pricing capabilities. The role will be responsible for creating and maintaining improvement progress in dealer pricing capabilities, assessing dealers, and building strong relationships to drive profitable parts growth. In addition, further identifying capabilities gaps driven from Price Value Assessment results.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess dealers' pricing strategy documentation, processes, and performance to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies and support material to improve dealer pricing capabilities.
  • Work with business partners to ensure metric alignment while enabling dealer to enhance their pricing capabilities.
  • Build strong relationships with dealerships to understand their aftermarket pricing requirements and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing tools, allocate resources to close potential gaps in dealer pricing capabilities.
  • Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of dealer pricing capability initiatives.
  • Create benchmarks and provide training sessions for dealers on pricing capabilities best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine dealer pricing capabilities strategies based on feedback and performance.

What You Have:

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • 4-6 years of experience in parts pricing, or roles in aftermarket department
  • Teamwork oriented, results driven.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationship with business partners and dealers.
  • Open to change and continuous process improvement nature.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products, Product Applications or Merchandising programs

Additional Info:

  • This position will be primarily located in our Peoria, IL office, but we will consider qualified candidates who live within a 50-mile radius of a United States Caterpillar office.
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
