Position Summary

The CVS Health APMO team is looking for an innovative thought partner who has a strong analytic and IT project management skill set to serve as a key contributor on critical business and technical programs. This role will require an out-of-the-box problem solver who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning, self-motivated, results-oriented, and high-energy who can easily function in a high demand, performance driven environment. This position will be responsible for independently driving planning and day-to-day management across the full project lifecycle on complex IT initiatives and programs, working closely with project teams to achieve expected results. The Manager, Agile Delivery, will manage all aspects of technology initiatives to successful completion, providing day-to-day leadership, management, and coordination of all activities related to direction, goal setting, planning, estimating, resource allocation and assignments, initiative health and reporting, problem resolution, and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure goals are met.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Project manage the delivery of technology projects or initiatives and ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and deliver the value expected by the organization.
  • Oversee detailed project plan development, following iterative development guidelines, and tracking of timelines and milestone with key internal and external partners to address project objectives.
  • Champion leadership in partnering with other Project Leads and owners to coordinate day-to-day initiative progress, identify risks/barriers and work with project leaders to address challenges.
  • Interface with other projects to modify plans when necessary to ensure cross-functional dependencies and inter-dependent projects stay coordinated.
  • Work with all stakeholders to define and acquire all necessary resources and to ensure their continual support for project goals.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and communicate status of projects in both formal and informal settings to track and drive overall team progress.
  • Forecast Resources allocations on a weekly basis while maintaining project budget.
  • Oversee other Agile Management resources and contractors as well as matrixed members of a project team.

Required Qualifications

  • Background in IT Program management, budget management and execution
  • Understanding of software development methodologies including agile methodologies.
  • 4+ years overall technology delivery management experience with cross-functional teams of large complex IT product/software
  • SCRUM Certified
  • Proficient in Project Management tracking tools, (Project, Rally, Jira) as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Understanding of Portfolio Financials and Financial Models (Costs and Savings)
  • Strong communicator both verbal and written with the ability to influence across all functions and at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications                    

  • Understanding of software development methodologies
  • Project Management experience in the Healthcare industry
  • Project Management experience delivering IT projects that have scope requiring deployment of IT Infrastructure solutions, including cloud technology.
  • PMP and SAFe Agile certification

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
